This is the Alliance Church International Cemetery located in Jerusalem.
When you enter through the large white gates, there is peace in the atmosphere that is remarkable.
Buried here are many people, both Jews and Gentiles who dedicated their lives to loving Israel and the people of Israel. Here Meir, (in the left photo) gave us the tour, telling the amazing stories represented here. My friend, Dolean, and I wept as we heard about these heroes of faith.
There are some famous people buried here including Derek Prince, beloved Bible scholar and teacher who is known all around the world. Meir knew Derek well and loved this man who was a mentor to him.
Meir, along with others who oversee the cemetery have a vision to see a full color mural of scenes from the Bible on the 300' (91 meters) wall that you see in the photo.
During our visit, Meir asked if I would like to undertake the project of painting
the mural on the wall.

What an amazing invitation!

Above is the headstone for
Charles T. Winters,
who assisted Israel in their war for Independence by supplying several WWII planes. He had to spend time in prison as a result of his heroic efforts to help Israel.
Fondly called CHARLIE by friends, he received a full pardon from Pres. George W. Bush during his last days in office. You may consult www.charlestwinters.blogspot.com
to learn of the heroic deeds of this fine American. His son, Jim, through much time and effort, received a full unconditional pardon
for his father who
died when Jim was only 19.
